Our Dragons programme is great for developing basic martial arts skills while balancing confidence and respect. As well as the development of physical skills, students will also take part in our own character development programme.
The Junior Taekwondo classes will expand your children's physical skills at the same time as introducing them to a full Olympic Taekwondo syllabus. Our aim is to get you child to black belt around the time they move up to High School.
Martial arts classes for families are rare though at the Warrior Factory we have them almost every day. These classes provide an ideal environment for your family to develop and train together in the same class. We even have a family discount scheme to help with the cost of training.
Adults have the choice of Taekwondo (Halifax and Leeds) and Ju Jitsu (Halifax). These classes are great for fitness, self defence or those of you just wanting to try something different and exciting.

On Friday the 1st of May, the Halifax Warrior
Factory sent a young Team of Taekwondo players to the weigh in for the
Nottingham Taekwondo Championships. Everyone successfully weighed in at the
weight they were entered though one player, Frankie was only 0.2 of a kg above
the threshold for the -30kg weight group and had to settle for the -34kg
category. This would mean that he could potentially be giving up to 4kgs in
weight to his competitors.
Saturday was the turn of Frankie and Ellis to take to the
mats. Having only recently moved in to the advanced category, they were always
going to have a tough day. As expected, when Frankie stepped on the mats for his
match, his opponent from Chi Taekwondo was much taller. Frankie put up a spirited effort but his
opponent was too skilled and the match was stopped at the end of the second
round. This player went on to win gold in the final as well as his 10th
match of the year.
There is an upcoming sparring day and it will be held on the 26th April by
Premier Taekwondo at their venue in Birkby, Huddersfield. The cost will be £10
for three hours and will run from 2pm - 5pm.
If you are interested in taking part, please let Jessica know asap as spaces
are limited and the fee must be paid in advanced to reserve your place. Also,
all students taking part must have at least arm and leg guards, though head and
body protectors can be borrowed from the club.
