Our Dragons programme is great for developing basic martial arts skills while balancing confidence and respect. As well as the development of physical skills, students will also take part in our own character development programme.
The Junior Taekwondo classes will expand your children's physical skills at the same time as introducing them to a full Taekwondo syllabus. For your child to have the best chance possible at reaching black belt before they get to High School, we suggest 2-3 training sessions per week.
Training classes for families are rare though at the Warrior Factory we have them almost every day. These classes provide an ideal environment for your family to develop and train together in the same class. We even have a family discount scheme to help with the cost of training.
Adults have the choice of Taekwondo and Ju Jitsu. These classes are great for fitness, self defence or those of you just wanting to try something different and exciting. Our instructors are friendly and make it as easy as possible for you to jump in a class and have a go.
We set up the Hipperholme Warrior Factory as a full time
martial arts centre over 5 years ago. Originally a gym, when we first converted
the building to teach Taekwondo, our main priority was to make sure the
facilities for the participants was up to scratch.
Soon after this we realised that is was also important to make sure the parents
of our younger members were comfortable while waiting for their children to
finish their class. Since this time we have added a second seating area with
couches, a large reception area, 2 large LCD screens (so parents can watch
their children without distracting them), a snack/drinks vending machine and
now a bean2cup vending machine. The following drinks are now available when you
Fresh Coffee (From beans)
To encourage students to train for the fitness required for
Taekwondo competitions, we have changed the format of the sport Taekwondo class
on Fridays at 19:00. This class will now be a fitness based class arranged in
sections of 3X2 minute rounds of activity, with a 30-60 second break in between
each round. Activities in this class will mostly be based around pad work and
resistance exercises. While this will provide an environment for members that would
normally shy away from sparring to improve their technique, reactions\timing, technique
selection and fitness, it will also allow our competitors to focus on power
without the risk of hurting their team mates. As the activity in this session will
be performed over specific time periods, the student will be in control of
their own work rate.
A new class rotation plan has been drawn up for both the
Taekwondo and Ju Jitsu classes. Both can be found under the members section of
the web site. You do not need to create a user or login to see these pages.
